I feel lousy

I don't know why but I always feel "lousy" during Christmas time. I've always believed Christmas was more for the children than it is for the adults. Giving Christmas presents? Bah, humbug.
And I think it is a shame that they cut down that beautiful tree to put in Rockefeller Center. I've read: "Trees give us oxygen, clean the air, and filter airborne pollutants." If so, why the heck are we cutting them down by the thousands at Christmas time? Why not artificial trees?
And then we wonder why the air is getting to be so impure. Maybe that is why I am feeling lousy.

And I'm getting fed up with all the Christmas "sales" mentioned on TV. It seems every other ad is for "Christmas bargains." It seems like everyone is trying to make as much money as they can during the holy season. And almost every other TV commercial is about a "new" or "better" health product. I guess the more they show you these medical commercials the more you begin to imagine that you have one of the "symptoms" they mention.
Sometimes I just switch to a PBS station so I can escape the commercials.

Yes, I know the feeling. It seems it's not the season to be jolly, but the season to try and make money. It has become more commercial than religious. So many people in the streets and they all seem to be rushing somewhere. No one even bothers to say "Excuse me," if they bump into you, etc. Salespeople are not as friendly as I remember years back. I guess it is just the "shape" of the world as it is today, with unemployment, taxes, high prices, etc. I don't even feel like going out any more.
How many others feel the same? Come on, do some posing on this forum so we know how our neighbors are feeling this holiday season.
BTW: What do you think of the maintenance increase and assessment? I'm just barely getting by each month and now these increases.
