Historic Repairs Refund

I've received notice of the Historic repairs refund and I wish they would have told us about this and that they had applied for it when they adding on that large assessment. It would have made a lot of people feel a little less upset.
I haven't the slightest idea how to fill this IT-237 form out or how to add it to my tax software that I use. Someone said I couldn't file via efile and I would have to mail my NYS 2015 this year because of this IT-237 can't be mailed separately. What a mess for us senior citizens. Always more things to confuse us and people who don't want to answer any questions.
They should have held a meeting explaining the IT-237 form and how (in general) to fill it out.

I use Turbo Tax and efiled my IRS form but had to mail my NYS IT-201 because it included the IT-237 form. I only hope I filled it out correctly. I mailed it on 2/10/2016, and they state they did receive it when I went to their web site, but I don't know if it was accepted or when I will receive refund.
IRS was emailed on 2/9/2016 4 PM and when I checked on 2/22/2016 it said "Your return has been processed and refund amount approved. Your tax refund is scheduled to be sent to your bank by February 24, 2016" At least it seems the IRS efile has been successful and now all I have to do is wait to find out about my mailed NYS return (with the large Historic refund).

Great News! I received my NYS refund (that was sent via USPS to NYS).
As I said, it was mailed on 2/10 and the refund was received on 3/10. I'm glad I had some help from another shareholder who also uses TurboTax and who had to also file his NYS return via USPS.
